Legal representation is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This includes representation for both on or off-duty incidents, including shootings, deaths in custody, Internal Affairs (IAD) and Public Integrity (PIU) investigations, and all other administrative investigations.

The Dallas Police Association offers additional, supplemental insurance coverage to its members through the First Responders Benefit Trust. First Responders Benefit Trust was established in 1981 to provide supplemental medical, disability, life and dental coverage to officers across Texas. The member contacts Cowboy Cab Company, who then comes to the location of the member and transports him/her home. The cost of this service is then paid by the DPA. This confidential service is designed so the member does not become involved in a situation that would be unsafe for the member or the public.

Facility Use
The Dallas Police Association has meeting and party space available to its membership for a nominal fee. The space consists of a meeting space that can be used for meetings, conferences and social events.
The space can be configured with tables and chairs. The party space is a smaller space equipped with a bar, kitchen area and high top tables and chairs. (This space is designed for smaller events with less than 60 participants.)
Any Dallas Police Department active or retired member can contribute to the PAC. Active members must complete a PAC-13 form and forward it to the Dallas Police Association.
